  • COMPETITIVE MARKET INTELLIGENCE- Pursued a major project wherein which across the group portfolio I had to undertake competitive analysis with respect to its leading industry competitors.

  • COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS- Undertook a comprehensive analysis of the formidable competitors in the MEP line of business in India, generating insights on the underlying reasonings behind the competitive performance of competitors, and as well providing recommendations on new markets for the company to enter into in particular.

  • STRATEGIC MARKETING- Undertook a project with the objectives of determining the market size and attractiveness of the MEP market in select African countries and having an assessment of the company’s selling potential in them. This was followed by a development of a GO TO MARKET STRATEGY inclusive of the following branding initiatives:

FOR INDIA’S LEADING ALLOY STEEL MANUFACTURING COMPANY WITH INTERESTS IN STAINLESS STEEL AND HEAVY-DUTY CRANES MANUFACTURING

  • STRATEGIC MARKETING PARTNERSHIP- Worked on an extensive project pertaining to identification of an international strategic collaboration partner for the company. Did an extensive strategic analysis of the international alloy steel manufacturing industry, leading to development of options for the manner in which a strategic collaboration could be put in place.

  • OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT- Studied the detailed manufacturing process involved in the distinct stages of steel manufacturing at the Alloy Steel manufacturing unit and developed necessary control documents in order for the plant’s performance to get assessed.

  • COST REDUCTION STRATEGIES- Undertook a cross sectional analysis of the manufacturing cost structure prevalent at the Alloy Steel manufacturing unit, leading to development & implementation of cost reduction strategies worth Rs 100 Crores/Annum.

  • SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT- Worked on a project pertaining to development of a multi modal and multi-source transportation matrix for the supply of iron ore and coke to the Alloy Steel manufacturing unit in Karnataka. This involved evaluating the transportation means of road & coastal shipping and the dimensions of transportation time and raw material quality were as well inherent in the matrix.

  • CORPORATE STRATEGY- Undertook a Global Benchmarking exercise for the company. Researched & analyzed public data with regards to Basic Company Information, Business & Operating Parameters, Cost Structure (Operations) and Management & Leadership Style. This comprehensive quantitative as well as qualitative benchmarking study led to an insightful understanding of the world class metrics prevalent in the Global Steel Industry and also generated a genuine understanding of the Competitive Advantages present within the world’s leading most steel companies.

  • GLOBAL CAPITAL MARKETS- Advised the company’s parent company to list itself on major Global Stock Exchanges in its pursuit of becoming a Multi-National Company.

  • GO TO MARKET STRATEGY- Formulated the entry strategy for the company with respect to long products in the Global market. Advised on the pursuit of Contract Manufacturing with the leading Global long products manufacturers.
